Information We Collect
- Account information — name and email address provided through Google or Apple sign-in.
- Menu photos — images you upload for translation. These are stored on our server and can be deleted by deleting the session or your account.
- Selections — menu items you select during group ordering.
How We Use Your Information
- Translating restaurant menus using AI (Google Gemini).
- Enabling group ordering features with friends.
- Authenticating your identity via Google or Apple OAuth.
Third-Party AI Services
Menu photos you upload are sent to third-party AI services for translation. The specific provider used depends on your selection or our default configuration:
- Google Gemini — Google's Gemini API processes your menu photos to extract and translate text. See Google AI Terms.
- Anthropic Claude — Anthropic's Claude API may be used as an alternative to process your menu photos. See Anthropic Terms.
Only the menu photo and translation request are sent to these services. No account information or personal data is included in the request.
Other Third-Party Services
- Google / Apple OAuth — used for sign-in. We only receive your name and email.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for the duration of your account. You may delete your account at any time from the app's Profile screen, which removes all personal data.
Data Deletion
To delete your account and all associated data, open the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. This action is irreversible.
