Information We Collect

  • Account information — name and email address provided through Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Menu photos — images you upload for translation. These are stored on our server and can be deleted by deleting the session or your account.
  • Selections — menu items you select during group ordering.
  • Usage statistics — aggregated, non-identifying data such as feature usage counts and API token consumption, used solely to operate and improve the service.
  • Referral data — if you participate in our referral program, we store your referral code and record who referred you. Your referral code may appear in publicly accessible invite URLs that you choose to share.

How We Use Your Information

  • Translating restaurant menus using AI (Google Gemini).
  • Enabling group ordering features with friends.
  • Authenticating your identity via Google or Apple OAuth.
  • Operating the referral program and distributing bonus translations.
  • Displaying approximate currency conversions using publicly available exchange rates.

Third-Party Services

Menu photos you upload are sent to Google's Gemini API for translation:

  • Google Gemini — Google's Gemini API processes your menu photos to extract and translate text. See Google AI Terms.
  • Exchange Rates — Currency conversion rates are sourced from the European Central Bank (ECB) via the frankfurter.app API. No personal data is sent to this service.

Only the menu photo and translation request are sent to the AI service. No account information or personal data is included in the request.

Other Third-Party Services

  • Google / Apple OAuth — used for sign-in. We only receive your name and email.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for the duration of your account. You may delete your account at any time from the app's Profile screen, which removes all personal data.

Data Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, open the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. This action is irreversible.
